These flipping amplifi mesh points - such a cool magnetic design, such a terrible design in practice. No amount of cleaning would make the magnetic power connection on this guy work, so a bit of prying, desoldering/soldering, and we have a mesh point that works again and is reposition-able.
cracked the lower power supply portion open and found the prongs wired directly to the board - the ground plug is only there for looks. Then soldered the new power cord in place.
